Joella Wcislo Obituary

Sister Joella Wcislo, SSJ-TOSF quietly slipped away at 6 a.m. on Sunday, November 2, 2003 in Francis Hall of Immaculata Congregational Home, Bartlett, IL. She had retired from full time ministry in education to part time ministry in the business office of the congregational home. In 2001 ill health caused her to finally bring to a close her active work. Sister's parents Michael and Frances preceded her in death as did her brothers John, Joseph and Frank and her sisters Ann, Victoria, and Frances. She is survived by Mr. & Mrs. John Wcislo (nephew) and Mr. & Mrs. Wm. Bredwell (niece Joella) and a sister-in-law, Florence Boyarski as well as the Sisters of St. Joseph, TOSF with whom she spent 68 years of her life as a member of the Congregation. Sister taught school in Chicago, IL; East Chicago, IN; South Bend, IN; Walkerton, IN and Cheyenne Wells, CO and at the Bartlett Learning Center in Bartlett, IL. Friends will be received at the Sacred Heart Chapel of the Congregational Home, 801 W. Bartlett Road on Tuesday, November 4, 3:30 to 8 p.m. for the wake. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 5 at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel followed by burial at Resurrection Cemetery in Justice, IL. Memorials may be sent to the SSJ-TOSF Dev. Office, P.O. Box 388129, Chicago, IL, 60638. Services arranged by Countryside Funeral Home, Bartlett, IL.
