Ross, Joel 57, dearly beloved husband of Brigitte (nee Peick), devoted father of Joshua (Aubree) Ross, dear brother of Sonja (Irving) Hammer, Reuben (Judy) Ross, Miles (Sally) Ross, Sherree Ross, Lance (Beth) Ross and the late Bertram, son of the late Dorothy and Edward Ross, uncle to many nieces and nephews. Past-President Rotary, P/M Chicago Lodge #437 AF & AM, Member Scottish Rite Valley of Chicago and Medinah Shriners. Funeral services Thursday, 10 a.m., at The Piser Chapel, 9200 N. Skokie Blvd. (at Church St.), Skokie. Chapel visitation Wednesday, 6 to 9 p.m. Masonic Services 8 p.m. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Joel's name to American Diabetes Assn., 30 N. Michigan Ave., Chicago, IL 60602 or Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2211 N. I was saddened to read of Joel's death in the Kansas City Jewish Chronicle. We went through grade school and high school together and maybe even Sunday school too. He was always a good natured, happy and friendly guy. I remember talking to him at a Bar Mitzvah several years ago and he was the same sweet person. So sorry for your loss.

I will always remember those times Uncle Joel would pick us up at the airport and shuffle us around town in limousines when we visited Chicago. He will be greatly missed.
