Dear Lois and Family,
Joel was such an important part of our family growing up. I
remember spending so many memorable Passover Seders at your home with Joel leading the Seder with his lovely family. He was always so warm, hospitable, and welcoming of me, Tom, and Dylan. Most importantly, I truly appreciate how kind and close he was to my parents Arline and Leonard. He always included them and would pick up my grandmother Sophie for these special occasions.
I will miss his caring, sense of humor, and kindness.
May you find peace soon and may his memories live on in all of you.
With Love,
Deb Dubow

I am shocked and saddened to hear of Joel's passing. I had the pleasure of meeting Joel at Edens Athletic Club many years ago and getting to know him better during our days at Lifetime Fitness. I always enjoyed his competitive nature on the racquetball court, but mostly enjoyed conversations with him in the Lifetime Cafe before heading to work. A small group from Lifetime (Joel, Roger, Bob, Gary, and I) would occasionally get together for lunch and I always looked forward to seeing Joel for the conversation and laughs. I certainly missed him when he stopped going to Lifetime and moved to another club to continue playing racquetball but looked forward to our lunches. He was a joy to be around with his competitive, feisty and funny personality. He seemed to be a man who truly enjoyed life. I extend my deepest condolences to the entire Michael's family and am truly sorry for your loss.
