You would be so excited! There is a film documentary of Dylans Rolling Thunder Revue on Netflix. It was great. I talked to you throughout it. I hope you heard.

I miss you more each day. Its suppose to get easier but that corkscrew to my heart gets deeper all the time. I love you, Elizabeth!

Where did the year go? Thanks 4 the guidance and keep it up Joan! We miss you terribly.

It's been an interesting, eventful year and while some things change, somehow they still stay the same. Watch over us and guide us. I know you are because I see your signs of intervention every now and then.

I said thank you once, but briefly. Thank you again for your caring words and your e-mail I wish I would have used. Funny thing about that e-mail. I came upon it a few days that would have still counted. Nothing is by chance. I am glad you touched our lives.

At first I got upset, how would I be able to talk to? Then I realize I talk to every day. Problems with Danny, memories, a drive past the old houses, song lines, too-late apologies: you hear it all and always will. Best friend, golden friend, forever friend....

Please accept my deepest sympathy on the untimely death of Joan. It was a pleasure for me to know her over the almost 20yrs.. She always had the best interest of the students and teachers, just as if they were all her own family. She was a good friend, and I,will miss her,and will be praying for all of you in your sorrow.

Joan, you were always being bossy in a polite way, yet you were so loving whenever I came down to your house to visit. You always took care of me after work when you worked at White Hen. You will be sorely missed and your good nature will live on forever.

i am going to miss her so much. i will never forget her. she treated me very well and always looked out for all of us when she was the principal at St. Linus School. you will always be in my heart. Rest In Peace.

Although I had not shared much contact with Joanie in the past few years, I remember her tenderly as a signifigant figure in my developmental stages. Many of my memories from childhood involve her in a prominent role, such as my vivid recollection of she and my mother swinging me between them on the way through the parking lot at Evergreen Plaza when I must have been no older than four. I regret having neglected maintaining conversation with her recently. She shall be missed.

In my three years at St. Linus Joan helped me in so many ways. I just wanted to thank her for all her help and guidance. She did so many "behind the scenes" things for St. Linus that she will be greatly missed in many many ways! I really admired Joan and feel honored to have worked with her. My deepest sympathy and prayers go out to her family and friends during this sad time.

Joan moved next door when we were 8. We spent so much time together that we could finish each other's sentences. We shot Dylan qoutes at each other and scoffed at anyone who misquoted him. Her laugter was contagious and her heart had an unending capacity for love. Elizabeth, you are Godmother to my daughter and golden friend to the child within me. I was devestated when i heard that miss wahlin died.i only went to go see her once, but i know that she cared about all the kids at st.linus. she will be missed greatly

I knew Miss Wahlin since I came to St. Linus in three year old pre-school. I became close with her last year especially through Student Government and other occasions. I was in her office just about everyday. I give my deepest sympathies to Miss Wahlin, her family, and the staff at St. Linus. Yes Miss Wahlin, I will miss you.

I don't know what else to say except for that I will deeply miss her. The only times i really saw Miss Wahlin were when i was in trouble but thats when i could tell she cared the most. She guided me so much throughout my years at St Linus. My sympathys go to her family, she will be missed.

Miss Joan Wahlin was an all- around good person. She showed care and compassion to each and every student at St. Linus School, her acts of kindness and care will be followed through by the students she loved so much.

As most everyone knows I spent alot of time with Miss Wahlin. Let me say she was not only my assistant principle to me but also a caring loving friend. We shared many smiles and laughs together along with listining to some Bob Dylan here and there. She left such a mark on my heart that it can never be earased. My greatest Sympothys to Miss Wahlin and her family, She will always have a special place in my heart

even tho i basiclly saw her when i got in trouble if i would have known this before hand i would of gotten in trouble every day this year. My sympathy goes out to the Wahlin family. She will be greatly missed.

I am very saddened to read today of the passing of Joan Wahlin. Although I had not been in touch with Joan for many years now, I do hold very fond memories of her. She was a very sincere and genuine person who always demonstrated great sensitivity, care and compassion for others in need. Joan was also a good friend to our family – particularly while my mother was terminally ill.

Joan’s kindness will be remembered always.

Joan you will truly be missed by Thomas Scovil's Secretary. The Office and Tom will never be the same without you.

Ms. Wahlin was an amazing person. I went to St. Linus for 7 years and I got to know her very well those 7 years. She was caring, loving, and helped you in a time of need. When we took our trip to D.C. and I got sick she stayed with me a whole day and I got to know her very well. Over the years I was a student there, I began to see how much she was there for me and guided me through my challenging times. I was very devastated when I heard the news because when I was gone from St. Linus for awhile; she was the first person I began to miss. She will be greatly missed by me and a lot of other people I know and others that I don't know. Thank you for everything, Ms. Wahlin.

Joan lived a true christian life, bringing her energy, love and compassion to those she touched.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Joan's passing. My son attended St. Linus until this past school year. I knew Joan through the technology committee and some fundraising efforts. She was dedicated, resourceful and creative. She always had the best interests of the St. Linus school family in mind when exploring any new project or opportunity. I'd like to express my deepest condolences to the Wahlin family. I was a student of Ms. Wahlin's during the 1991-1992 school year at St. Linus. I can unreservedly say that she was one of the finest teachers I have ever encountered. She enlivened in her students an interest in the world around them and a sense of compassion for their fellow men and women. Due in no small part to Ms. Wahlin's influence, I am currently a teacher. I hope that I can share with my students even a fraction of Ms. Wahlin's spirit and passion.
