I was saddened to read about Joan. I enjoyed her life story when she and I sat together on a bus trip to Madison to see the rockettes. I miss her smiling presence at St. Paul's.

My condolences to Joan's family. I knew Joan from Alvernia Alumnae--spent evenings at her Chicago home working on luncheon baskets, and really liked her so much. I was looking forward to seeing her at the luncheon, and so very saddened to learn why she wasn't with us. She really was a lovely person. Bless you all, and my prayers for you and her. Mary Grimes
