I grew up across the street from the Rosenberg family. I still feel Stefis loss. Any great memory of my childhood usually includes Stefi, and probobly Joan, Dave, Nancy, and Stan.
I will forever remember Joan showing me the good in all people. I still have recipes she wrote for me when I first got married to help me along that I still use Another light on Whitfield Road has gone out

There have been very few people in this world with as much class and style as Joan. She was a mentor, a friend and someone to emulate in oh so many ways. She will be sorely missed.

We just found out today about Joan's death...We were shattered.

Joan was one of the most positive influences in my life. She mentored me, both professionally and personally, some 36 years ago. I have always tried to live up to the standards, ethics and sensitivities of this incredible person, though in comparison to who she was, I have fallen far short. I will forever love and miss her.

She was a very dear friend in business and in life of my husband, too. She is the one who introduced us. She knew instinctively that we would end up together. That was almost 30 years ago and we are still a happy pair..

Our memories of Joan will always make us smile, though our tears of sadness are copious today.

I am one of the doormen at the building where Joan Maas lived and I had the privilege of knowing her for close to 25 years. She was very special to me. I remember that Joan sold more than 45 condominiums in our building and she was a true professional with her clients and everyone around her. When I read her book, "Oma's Story", I was very impressed and admired her even more. She was always kind and generous with me. I will miss her and I will always remember the many conversations we had in the building. She was more than a tenant to me . . . she was family. My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this time. Tony Santiago, Her Doorman - The Hermitage Condominiums
