Dear Maria and family,
Sorry to hear about your mother. We were out of town and just heard of her passing. We will never forget her and your dad's help with the effort to save St. Mary of the Angels Church (& parish) only to see their own St. John of God closed. She sent us the first book in our collection of books and booklets, etc. on the subject of fibromyalgia when she learned of Terry's diagnoses. Her words of encouragement and sharing were much appreciated. Little did anyone know that both Joan and George were supportive of the Chicago Boy Choir of which we were Board Members. She wove herself through the fabic of Polish art and culture where ever and when ever she could. We along with many others are going to miss her.
"May the angels lead you into Paradise; upon your arrival, may the martyrs receive you and lead you to the holy city of Jerusalem. May the choirs of angels receive you, and with Lazarus, the poor man, may you have eternal rest."

Dear Maria, Wanda, and Martin,
Joan was very dear to me in so many ways. She was the epitome of graciousness. I will always cherish her kindnesses and thoughtfulness. How can I ever forget the great Christmas parties? When I first got to know her, I was doing fund raising for Felician College on the north side of Chicago. She and George were some of the most generous, interested, and caring people I ever was privileged to know. How she supported our dinner dances, the Art Fairs, and all the other activities that institutions like Felician College do. The friendship continued until now and what a treasure she was to me. I will always cherish her memory and, as Honey Allison said, remember her as an inspiration to continue her caring and love to all. Rest in peace, Joanie. Share in the Lord's joy and pray for us.

Aunt Joan was laid to rest today. At the service much was spoken of her benevolence and concern for others. My prayer is that all of us who loved and knew her will not allow that legacy to cease - but that we will all carry those qualities on in our own lives as a living tribute to her life. We will miss her. Hugs.

It is with great sadness and wonderful memories that I will always remember Joan. She was always gracious, dignified, and in her own way, funny; always, especially, a proud Polish American. I'll never forget chatting with her and Wanda and Geraldine at PMA events, at Stanley's, and at her magnificent Christmas parties.

You will be deeply missed, Joan, and in our thoughts forever.

Sincere condolences to her family and friends.
