Joan was a classmate of mine at the "old" St. Xavier and I remember her fondly from those happy times and the years that followed. She was a dedicated educator and a gracious woman. My deepest sympathy to her family and she will be remembered in prayer.

I met Joan while singing for her brother Bill, for over 20 years. She was a dignified and gracious woman who supported her brother's work even after his death. She kept his memory alive and will be greatly missed.

My deepest sympathy to Joan's family - she was one of my Aunt Shirley Ronan's best friends for over 50 years. She was a kind woman who loved God very much. I was lucky to know her.

My heartfelt condolence to the family of Dr. Joan Ferris. Joan was a talented teacher, administrator and one of the finest people that I have ever known. She will certainly be missed.

Please accept my deepest sympathy at the loss of your loved one, Dr. Joan Ferris. I worked under her supervision while she was the District Superintendent of CPS's Region One Office. Although, small in stature, she was larger than life, and well respected in her field. It was always a pleasure to greet and be recognized by her, as Dr. Ferris knew what it meant to honor educators.

My deepest sympathy to the family on the loss of their Aunt. Joan was an inspiring and gifted teacher and administrator. She was positive in her thinking. She will be missed. In this time of sorrow, reflect on her favorite saying, "Keep the Faith!"
