Fanning, Joan B. (nee Shannon), 78, of Niles, formerly of Edison Park. Beloved wife of the late Brig. Gen. James G. Fanning, C.P.D. retired, loving mother of Patrick S., Dennis J. (Elizabeth) Fanning, Kathleen M. (Craig) Grossman, Eileen M. (John) Loken and Michael G. (Mia) Fanning, loving grandmother of James Michael, Shannon Kathleen, Casey Anne, Sean Patrick, Elizabeth Shannon and James Marvin, dear sister of the late Zita Burchfield and dear aunt to many nieces and nephews.
