So sorry to learn that "Mrs. Dorrian" has passed. I remember her as my Girl Scout leader and mother of my classmate/friend Cathy. I am very grateful to have had women like Jill in my life as a growing girl. I now have a family of my own- we knit, crochet, sew, travel and camp together. (For some odd reason my oldest son has had his room decorated in an Australia theme since he was 6!) My fond memories of being in her care have influenced my decisions as a mother. I'm grateful to her for extending her love beyond her family.
Peace to all of you as you morn her loss. Her spirit continues to bless us all.

I, like everyone else was extremely sadden at the news of Jill's passing. I met Jill at stamping class several years ago and loved her accent! She was very kind and sweet. It always made me smile when arriving at class to find Jill and Gerri there. I will miss her greatly. I am glad of the time that I got to spend with her, but wish that I could have had longer. I like to think that she has met my mom in heaven. I think they would have gotten along very well and would be discussing Scouting and crafts. May God bless her and keep her. Bless all of her family and friends. Remember all the wonderful times you have had over the years. She will always be with us in our hearts.

Dear Dorrian Family,
I am so sadden to hear that Jill had passed away. We had so many good time in the old neighborhood, always sitting on the steps just talking, at times it would be late at night and during the spring and summer months you could hardly get us all in the house we just loved being out and sharing thoughts. She was always good with the kids that lived on the block and we will always remember that. My prayers and condolence go out to the family .

What a shock to me and everyone that knew Jill. I have known Jill for 30 years as an adult in Girl Scouts. This is one dedicated woman who I never thought would leave us.
The talents that she shared and the time that she gave to every Girl Scout Leader and child will live on forever.
We will truly miss her at Sno-Joke.
As Jill moves on to her new place in Heaven I envision MaryAnn Riff awaiting her with open arms. The two of them will be crocheting, knitting and shopping like they're used to.
May God Bless our beloved Jill and her family.
Thank you for the time you gave the Girl Scouts of Chicago!

I agree--so sudden and unexpected I am still in disbelief, she was a beautiful, beautiful person and will be missed greatly; I remember too, those times of making cookies and I will miss those special handmade cards she made for us for every birthday or celebration. I am so happy she was able to see me graduate from college in December. I will always remember her for that beautiful smile, she could light up a room with that smile.

Jill's passing came as a real shock. We shared some really wonderful times "stamping" together the past 5+ years. Her wonderful sense of pride in her work, her smile and the way she said "yes" with her beautiful accent will always be special memories for me. I will forever treasure the cards she sent me and the lovely shadow box she made me with the yellow hand made roses. I was truly blest to renew an old friendship from OLM when we met at Stampology. We shared photos of our "grands" and stories about our families. I will miss her. You children were blessed with a beautiful Mother. God Bless all of you.

So unexpected! Aunt Jill was so full of life - she never seemed to slow down! I will be praying for her and the whole family. I have been thinking of all the wonderful times we have had together - as a child (making cookies, sharing Girl Scout stories) through adulthood (having her at my wedding, introducing me to the world of stamping!). I will miss her very much.
