Jerald Plummer Obituary

Jerald Martin "Jerry" Plummer, 76, Medora, died at 1:05 p.m. Sunday, May 1, at Schneck Medical Center, Seymour.
He was born Aug. 26, 1934 in Medora to the late Verlin W. and Georgia Mae Martin Plummer. On April 19, 1952, he married the former Carolyn Shepard in Lafayette, and she survives.
He was an active member of Medora Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and was a farmer. He is a charter member of the Jackson Pork Producers and a charter member of Jackson County Pure Bred Swine Breeders. He was a member of the Jackson County Cattlemen Association.
Mr. Plummer was a truck driver for 15 years for the Medora Brick Plant, Sims Limestone and INS Freight Company. He and his wife traveled extensively throughout the United States in their RV.
Survivors include a son, Scott (Pam) Plummer of Medora; three daughters, Diane (John) Jendrek of Bedford, Susan (Dan) Dowdy of Medora, and Lisa (Kenny) Hattabaugh of Medora; a sister, Ann (John) Benge of Medora; 14 grandchildren, Chris McCory, Michael McCory, Daniel McCory, Eric Schleibaum, airman first class Tony Schleibaum, Sarah Brown, Jesse Plummer, Madeline Plummer, staff sergeant James Zumhingst, Ahna Zumhingst, Cory Wheat, Melissa Benge Amanda Flick, and Branden Hattabaugh, and 18 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Joe Plummer.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 6, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Medora with Pastor Jack Belk officiating. Burial will be in Weddleville Cemetery, Medora.
Friends may call at Hague Funeral Home, Medora, from 4 until 8 p.m. Thursday, May 5, and at the church from 9 a.m. Friday until time of service.
Memorials may be designated to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church or donor's choice.
