It is almost a year - where has that time gone? When people tell you "it gets better", they do not know what they are speaking of. Such a happening in one's life does not "get better", it only changes. And it will keep on changing as time passes. There are those that will always remember you and your family, even though you may not hear from them - take strength from these people, for you shall always be in their thoughts, and in their prayers. God's Blessings and Peace to you, her mother, father, and daughter! Judith Ann Drong

To Jennifer's family. We want to express our deepest sympathies on the passing of a dear young woman. We met Jennifer through the brachial plexus computer message boards. She was quite the advocate for our little children. She was always encouraging others. Know that she is now at a better place interceding for all of us. Peace and blessings...

Jennifer, you will never know how much you meant to me and my family. After you were diagnosed with that awful diesease you never lost hope and fought the hardest you could with that amazing bright smile always on your face. You are an inspiration to many. You were the best aunt anyone could ask for and the greatest mother for Peyton who everyone knows was the love of your life. I will never forget you and the times we had together whether it was as a family or just as us being freinds you will live on forever in my heart. Donna Engelhardt Nass

I meet Jennifer online-right after my son and Peyton were born, both with Brachial Plexus Injusries, I meet her four year later at an outreach at Easter Seals and immediately knew what a warm and caring person she was, she not only fought for her daughter,Peyton but for all children with Brachial Plexus Injuries. She was os positive and upbeat and I know she fought hard to overcome her cancer, she is now at peace without pain. I know that her and my mother will meet and my son and Peyton will have more people watching over them from above. My deepest sympathy to you all !!!!

Jennifer is in Good Hands now - Our Lord's! Plus, she is enjoying some of my Aunt Estelle's homemade cooking up there in heaven! Aunt Estelle so loved Jennifer - that is all I ever heard about!!!!! Rest assured that Auntie Estelle is taking excellent care of Jennifer! While you were on this side saying "farewell, until we meet again", there were others, like Auntie Estelle saying, "welcome home Jennifer, welcome home!"

Words do not seem enough to express all that my heart is feeling. I will start with saying that I was lucky enough to have known Jennifer for about 10 years. I was welcomed into her home during that time, and we supported each other through many of life's trials. She was always so concerned with how I was doing when my husband was diagnosed with MS. She often told me that I needed to take care of me. Always thinking of other people. What a wonderful legacy. I will miss my friend--the one who would make me go into fits of laughter from her texts she sent me at work, the one who cried with me in July, knowing full well it would most likely be the last time we would be together in this life. To Peyton: Sweetie, I am so very sorry for your loss. I am here whenever you need me. Promise. You are the most wonderful kid and your mom was so very, very proud of you. She loved you beyond measure. To all of Jen's family: We are so sorry for your loss and will continue to pray for you all as you journey through this time in your lives. Jen was so lucky to have you all.

I met Jennifer at the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer in 2006. She was in the Avon Mini Walks Team of which I was the National Captain.

I was struck by her strength and resilience. She had a positive outlook in life I had never seen before, even amongst other cancer survivors.

My condolences to her family. I know how much you will miss her because I already do.

I am devastated to learn of Jen's passing. For years we were waiting room buddies while our daughters attended their brachial plexus therapy sessions. We talked about everything under the sun and knew each others trials and tribulations. In all the discussions about Jen's situation, she was always positive and never felt sorry for herself. She taught me, whether she knew it or not, to enjoy the moment and appriciate the good things in my life. When my daughter Christina was born with brachial plexus injury, I searched for answers and direction to no avail. I happened upon the BPI support group that Jen headed. She took the time and answered all my questions. If she didn't know the answer she made sure she found out for me. She was a shining light in what was a truly dark period of my life. My daughter would not be the beautiful young lady she is today without Jen, and for that I will be eternally grateful. My sympathy goes out to Jen's family and friends but mostly to Peyton. If you don't know now, you will learn some day of all the children and families your mother helped in a positive way. Rest in peace my friend, I will miss you and never ever forget you.

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief.

Jennifer was a fighter she was not letting this awful disease take over her life. I remember when Jen was diagnosed she immediately became a warrior looking for ways to help others, The Avon Walk for Breast Cancer was one of her causes. When she asked me to walk I said yes immediately not even knowing what I was saying yes to! I have done that walk three times now. Twice with Jen- the first time we walked she had just finished treatment two days prior and she was not letting that keep her from walking and raising money to find a cure. I remember how tough it was on her body yet she kept on going. I feel blessed to have known her since she was 15. I was there when she gave birth to Peyton. Another event that brought Jennifer to help others with the Brachial Plexus Organization.I was honored when she asked me to be Peyton's God mother. My heart breaks that we have lost someone who has touched the lives of so many. We must all help Peyton to keep the memory of Jennifer. My love and prayers to all of Jennifers family, friends and those she touched thru her volunteer efforts. I still can't believe it is true and she is gone. I know my Mom and her are together now.

My heart goes out to Jen's familily in this time of sorrow. Jen was one of the most positive people I've ever met. I'm glad to have known her. She will definitely be missed.

August 27, 2009

I first met Jen in a small room at Christ Hospital about 8 years ago while discovering our daughter's were born with the same birth injury. Ever since that day Jen has done wonders in promoting awareness of brachial plexus injuries. She was the strongest women I have ever come across. I prayer for her family that they may find comfort in the fact that she is no longer suffering and I prayer for Peyton that she holds her mother's memories in her heart forever. You'll be missed Jen.

I struggle to find the right words to say. Jen will be missed. She made such an impact on the lives of her friends! She was such a strong and positive woman. My heart goes out to her entire family. Peyton, I hope you always remember how much your mom loved you! You were her entire world. Mr. & Mrs. Ehardt, she always said how grateful and lucky she was to have you for parents. She knew that no matter what you were dealing with, you would drop everything to help her. It breaks my heart to have to say goodbye to her. May my beautiful friend (with that gorgeous smile) rest in peace.
