I can't remember the exact grades, but my class photos snapped in the Crestwood School library include a grinning face of Jennifer Conway. (I'm the one in the back, in the "tall" row, and if my memory serves me, Jennifer was occasionally nearby.) With the guileless admiration of a grade-schooler, I looked up to Jennifer because she was invariably the smartest girl in the class. Once in a while, we would find ourselves walking home from school at the same time, and we would chat. It was during those conversations that I marveled at how a girl my age could be so serious. During those few encounters beyond elementary school, I recall a very kind woman. News of her passing saddened me, because I know Jennifer will be missed. My condolences to all who were close to her.

That voice. With perfect pitch. That sense of time and space and values. That incredible sense of style and gentleness. And your brilliance at the piano. You are a rare soul lost to me now and one who is deeply loved and remembered by my entire family and all whom you cherished in Girls Ensemble, Madrigal and the bigger scale of life. Your critical eye for detail and your amazing ability to close. You're with us all. Your contribution... huge. I love you Jenny. Your music lives on in me. You are "The Nightengale" Mary Helfrich

Dear Mr. Conway , I am a former GBN classmate and MYF friend of Jenny's. I am very sorry to hear of her death. I was actually just thinking about her earlier in the week. We used to have such good conversations about serious things when we were so young. Please accept my sympathies. Yours, Kathy

Dear Uncle Phil,
I'm so sorry for your loss. I have very fond memories of our family get togethers, our trips to Chicago and your trips to Nebraska. Jen will surely be missed by all. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Love, Susan
