Happy Birthday Jeffrey
We celebrated your birthday for you. I have kept the promise that I made to you, remember?
I think that if you could have found me , you would have. I also think that 8 years is long enough to wait for any man, and that if you could have contacted me by now you would have...I am going to reverently close the book, ring the bell and put out the light...Thank you for everything Jeff... Thank you Again, for all the love you passed our way......
Good Night sweet Prince wherever you are....and may flights of Angels sing thee to thy rest....

Happy Birthday Jeffrey,
wherever you are:
part of the Eurology I delivered for Jeff:

My Brother Jeff, we really loved each other although we seldom agreed upon things The truth is, we were always competing. When I was younger I would imagine if I could throw a ball further than him or if I could be him in a foot race. If life is a race then he has beaten me to the finish line, but on the other hand, if it is a boxing match then I am the last one of us still standing. Either way, we went through a great deal together. My view of the world and people in it was always dark, judgmental, and cynical. After Jeff passed away I reflected on his optimism, hope for a brighter future, and a sense of wonder that he always had. His predominate feeling toward the end was one not of despair but of gratitude. I think that perhaps, that was the last gift that he gave me and I will always be grateful for that.

"I suppose all of us hover between two ways of regarding death, which appear to be in hopeless contradiction with each other. First there is the familiar and instinctive recoil from it as embodying the supreme and irrevocable disaster...

But, then, there is another aspect altogether which death can wear for us. It is that which first comes to us, perhaps, as we look down upon the quiet face, of one who has been very near and dear to us. There it lies in possession of its own secret. It knows it all. So we seem to feel. And what the face says in its sweet silence to us as a last message from one whom we loved is:

'Death is nothing at all. It does not count. I have only slipped away into the next room. Nothing has happened. Everything remains exactly as it was. I am I, and you are you, and the old life that we lived so fondly together is untouched, unchanged. Whatever we were to each other, that we are still. Call me by the old familiar name. Speak of me in the easy way which you always used. Put no difference into your tone. Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow. Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes that we enjoyed together. Play, smile, think of me, pray for me. Let my name be ever the household word that it always was. Let it be spoken without an effort, without the ghost of a shadow upon it. Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same as it ever was. There is absolute and unbroken continuity. What is this death but a negligible accident? Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? I am but waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner. All is well. Nothing is hurt; nothing is lost. One brief moment and all will be as it was before. How we shall laugh at the trouble of parting when we meet again!'

So the face speaks. Surely while we speak there is a smile flitting over it; a smile as of gentle fun at the trick played us by seeming death"

I am deeply sorry to hear about the passing of Jeff. I spent a week training with Jeff late last year shortly after I started working with Siemens. He struck a great balance of challenging me while also being helpful, encouraging and kind along the way. He followed up with me in the weeks immediately following to check on my progress. I remember him telling me that he was going to volunteer to travel over the Holidays if someone was needed so that his colleagues with children could be home with their families. Jeff was very professional and obviously had a kind heart. Peace, Prayers and Blessings to the family.

I met Jeff once. My step children and grandchildren live in Chicago. When we met and talked,it was a pleasure. I had a friend that did not live far from Jeff. He said, ; IF you ever get this way: Look me up! Or If I can ever help you in anyway, let me know. Never got a chance to look him up, but always remembered what he said to me. A Life taken to early. I had the honor and privilege to work with Jeff a short while during my training this last year and I loved his quick wit and humor. His approach with those around him was welcoming and he always made us laugh. We called him "The professor" because of the way he taught his beloved customers. I enjoyed the Indian cuisine excursion he took me on while in Kentucky and we were able to walk through the National Corvette museum as I learned his love for cars. Mr.Professor you will dearly be missed.

The last time I saw Jeff he gave me a present: a sticker that said "I am easily distracted by shiny objects" -- we used to joke about my tendency to jump from topic to topic. It is proudly displayed on my laptop. Although I was his boss for 3 years, I was also privileged to have viewed him as a friend. He shall be missed.

My sincere condolences to the loss of a great guy. Jeff was not just a colleague but a good friend whom we can share stories together. All my prayers go out to Jeff's family at this time. I knew Jeff through his job (Siemens), and know first hand what a dedicated and extemporary person he was. He was professional beyond reproach and his humor brought a smile to my face every time we spoke. He will be missed by many, but we will keep his spirit of humor in our hearts. We will also remember him through his dedication to mankind, through his relentless professionalism while going about his daily instruction - which was only a fraction of his job fuctionalities.

With Sincerest Condolences..
