Keating, Jeffrey Michael age 80, beloved husband of Catherine "Kitty" (nee O'Shea), loving father of Noreen "Nora" (Robert) Anzinger, Jeffrey J. (Mary), Kevin (Diane), Eileen (James) Convery, Daniel (Susan), John (Patricia) and Brendan (Shannon), proud grandfather of Kelly, Stefanie, Kate, Ellie, Jackie, Mike, Annie, Amelia, Erin, Marie, Jeffrey, Mari, Karly, Evan, Kristen, Danny, Tara and Joey, special step-grandfather to John and Jennifer, adoring great step-grandfather to Isabella and Angelina. Best friend to Mary, Gabe, Barbara and Mike and friend to many others. Visitation at Cooney Funeral Home, 625 Busse Hwy., Park Ridge, Sunday, from 2 to 9 p.m. Funeral Monday, 9 a.m. to Our Lady of Victory Church, 5212 W. Agatite, Chicago. Mass at 10 a.m. Interment Maryhill Cemetery. Native of Cahirceveen, Co. Kerry, Ireland. Veteran U.S. Army-Korea. Blacksmith and welder for almost 50 years. Retired from CTA in 1990. My father worked with Mr. Keating for years at the CTA and spoke very highly of him. My dad was from Co. Carlo. I also went to school with Brendan at NIU. We were Pikes together. I am sorry for your loss.
