It was a pleasure knowing JJ and having the opportunity to be his friend. I became friends with JJ around high school and had the opportunity to continue that friendship through college in Orlando. JJ always had a smile on his face, always supported his friends, and genuinely loved life. He was an incredible person and will be missed dearly. I am happy and fortunate I can consider myself one of JJs close friends. I am glad I had the ability to hang out with JJ quite frequently up until his move back to south Florida, but I am extremely sad and sorry I did not get the chance to see him afterwards or have the opportunity to say goodbye.
To the Fishman Family, I am very sorry for your loss. JJ was an amazing friend and I know he was a great son and brother to you all. May he rest in peace. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

We were total opposites but ended up living together for a year and shared a mutual respect of good music, good drinks, California Chicken Grill and a level of respect for each other. I was lucky enough to grow up with you, and from the Boca Manta's to our Orlando days you always had my back and I will never be able to thank you enough. You will always be my boy and every time see a pool, go to the gym, watch MMA, play Gears of War (or any racing game), hear a Nas song, or have a sip of E & J and too many other things to name I will think of you.
