Dear Jeanie

It will be one month since you left your families and we continue to receive cards and calls from your friends expressing their sorrow.

There are no words to express my deep heavy sorrow. I will carry this heaviness with me for the rest of my years here on earth.

I believe you are experiencing joy and peace now and forever.

Remember Jeanie you and I made an agreement whoever left this earth first would be standing at those pearly gates as an official greeter for our family.

I will love you forever. Mom

To the D'Ambrose and O'Malley families-I am so sad to hear about Jeanie and I pray for all of you to find the strength to move forward without her, especially her husband and children. I went to high school and college with Jeanie and I used to see her around Chicago from time to time (mostly at the gym). In high school, Jeanie and I became friends in Spanish class, freshman year. Jeanie was very popular in high school and what I loved most about her is that her popularity did not interfere with how she treated people. She was always kind and sincere. Jeanie just liked me for who I was. I feel fortunate to have known Jeanie. I know that she will watch over her loved ones from heaven.

Just found out today Wednesday

June 16, 2004, and was very shocked.

You will be missed by all who knew you. We had many found times in grammer school especially hanging out under the McDonald's Bridge. My sister hung around with your sister, and my brothers hung around with your brothers. I pray for your husband and children, and I know you are an angel in heaven still always with them.

Mike, We were deeply saddened to hear about Jeanie. We didn’t know her well, but she was always a friendly, sweet face to talk with. We know the children were a great source of pride for Jeanie, it was obvious her role of mother meant so much to her. You are a lucky man to have had time with her. Please let us know if there is anything we can ever do to help. Take care of yourself and the family.

Our deepest sympathies go out to the D’Ambrose and O’Malley families. Jeanie was a beautiful, warm and caring person, and we hope that your wonderful memories of her will help you through this difficult time.

The compassion, strength, and loyalty she demonstrated throughout her life is an inspiration. How fortunate we were to know her. Peter and I will truly miss her smile and humor, her laughter, and her friendship. There are very few people who can make such an impact and be loved by so many people. Though her passing has left all of us with a sense of loss, her legacy is her courage, thoughtfulness and zest for life.

Jeanie- You first entered my life when we are all in our 20's, not a care in the world and we all had such a bright future ahead of us.

Even when you are Mike were just friends, helping each other through trying times, it was so obvious by the glimmer both of your eyes that there was something special between the two of you..

Jeanie you showed me that first and foremost "FRIENDSHIP" is what makes a healthy and happy relationship between two people..

You were Mike's best friend, soulmate and the two of you out of love created two beautiful little children..

Jeanie, what I will miss the most about you is our weekend dinners as couples (most of the time me being a solo participant) and you asking me when I would settle down..

It pains me to no end that my future mate will never know your smile charm wit grace and passion for life..

You will be in my prayers tonite and my thoughts forever and everytime I see Nicholas or Jessie, I will think of their beautiful mother who was taken from us way too early..

Rest in Peace Jeanie..
