Sorry to hear of the loss of another Great Prairie Ave Mom from my past. Growing up in Brookfield, Illinois, it was neighborhood mom's like Jean, that made it a safe haven between friends houses. They all kept an eye on us boys, and for the most part out of mischief. We were always welcome as they spoiled us with treats and pop. I will always remember her kindness toward me, and being there as a chaperone, when my mom wasn't.
