Dr. McArdle, Tracey, & Lindsey:
I was deeply touched by Jan's compassion and commitment to seeking excellence in her teaching, friendships, career, art, and family. She has "truly" sacrificed so much for so many people without any expectations of receiving. Please know that my heart will always think of her fondly and I will always care about her.

I am deeply saddened by the loss of Mrs. McArdle, my sixth grade teacher at Jay Stream. She had a remarkable gift for teaching. Even though she taught me roughly 16 years ago, I clearly remember the class projects we worked on together: group newscasts; design your own country; class Greek play; and personal poetry books. I also remember the novels we read for class: Treasure Island, The Egypt Game, and Redwall. Before it became a movie, I recall reading Jurassic Park, a book she recommended I read; it was the longest book I read at that point in my life. Mrs. McArdle will definitely be missed by all of her students.

Mrs. McArdle was my 6th grade teacher about 14 years ago. She was one of the best teachers I ever had and I will always remember our class' rendition of King Midas' Golden Touch! I met some of my best friends in her class, so she will always have a special place in my heart. God Bless her family and friends.

Mrs. McArdle was my favorite teacher of all time. I used to visit her after school long after 6th grade was over. She'd always introduce me to other teachers as "my old student" and that always made me laugh considering I was in high school at the time. She was funny and a wonderful gift to me. I loved visiting her and helping her pack up her convertible after the last day of school. She even took me out to lunch once and as I considered her my friend, hopefully she considered me her friend as well. She always told me stories of her family and was SO proud of both of her husband and both of her daughters. I'd talk about her family at my house just like I knew them personally! I really miss Mrs. McArdle and I hope that you all know how special she was to so many people. She made a difference in so many peoples lives and I'll never forget her.
