Janet Block Obituary

Mrs. Block was my mentor and friend. I would always address her as Mrs. Block and she would always correct me and say come on it's Janet. She was an important part of my life while I taught at St. Renee. I learned so much from her on a professional level and she was a good friend and we kept in touch over the years. May God have his arms wrapped around you in heaven and your family in this difficult time. Janet was an amazing women who gave so much to the people who's lives she touched you are LOVED and will be MISSED.

Mrs. Block was an outstanding teacher at St. Rene. She taught me how to write with passion. She taught all of us never to give up on our dreams. She encouraged everyone to believe in themselves. She even applauded our efforts to protest for more recess space in eighth grade because we were using our voices to stand up for something. I wouldn't be where I am today without Mrs. Block. Her encouragement and persistence helped shape me into the woman I am today. Her lasting impact on all of her students will never be forgotten. Rest in peace Mrs. Block.

Heaven has truly received another angel. Mrs Block was more than a teacher. She became friends with the parents of her students. Janet will be truly missed by so many. Our prayers go out to the entire family.

I taught with Janet for seven years at St.Rene. She was such a kind , wonderful woman. She loved her family and was such inspiration to all. My prayers are with you.

Mrs. Block was a wonderful teacher who inspired so many children throughout her years at St. Rene. She always believed in them, especially when they didn't believe in themselves. She knew they were capable of so much more. As a parent, we knew she really cared about her kids, I believe they knew it too. She was my kids favorite teacher. Both my children went on to do very well. I believe some of the credit should go to Mrs. Block. Many of her students have honored her legacy and I believe that she would be so proud of all of her students! We are saddened to hear of her passing. Heaven gained an Angel. Our deepest heartfelt condolences to her husband, children, grandchildren and her entire family. May she Rest in Peace.

My absolute favorite teacher, and the reason I am a teacher today. She always encouraged me to be myself and laughed at my antics. I think of her often and fondly. I send my condolences to her family and friends. She will be remembered for many years to come.

Mrs. Block changed elementary & middle school for me at St. Rene. The classrooms of the world just became a little dimmer. She was truly one of the very best and I will be forever grateful for her teachings.

Mrs. Block was my absolute favorite teacher at St. Rene oh so many years ago! She touched my life and made an impact and I know she will be greatly missed.
