My sympathy to your family. Janet & Del lived across the street from me for just over 20 years. They were wonderful neighbors. I was the lucky guy who received cookies and pecans from her family in Missouri. I relocated to NC in Oct 2014. She will be missed by the Riverside neighbors.

My deepest sympathies to the family. Our family felt blessed to have had Mrs. Baker as the preschool teacher for our three sons. Mrs. Baker had a smile for every child, and more patience than anyone else I know. I was always impressed with how she worked with 3,4,and 5 year olds, and was an example of kindness for them. Thanks for all you did for our family, Mrs Baker. God Bless you and keep you in His embrace.

What a wonderful, loving, caring, sweet, amazing woman. My words about her can be endless. I not only knew her from Church, as my son's pre-school teacher, my aide when I was director of vacation bible school, but that of a genuine Christian friend. She had a positive impact on anyone who she touched, never an ill spoken word from her lips, and truly lived the life of what her faith told her. I will miss you Ms. Janet Baker with the giant hugs. I am sorry for your families loss, and selfishly sad for myself. May God give her eternal rest and comfort those that mourn.

I had the privilege of meeting such a wonderful, loving and kind woman that Janet was. She taught all three of my children preschool. She was a wonderful teacher who loved her kids, and a good friend to me. The world lost a gem of a person. Heaven gained a beautiful angel. She will be missed.

I will always remember her as my favorite teacher ever. I will always remember her talking to me as a preschooler when I tried to cut my hair with plastic scissors, she was the most loving and caring teacher I ever had, and I will remember her always and forever. I know you are still watching over all of us. My blessing goes out to her family and friends.

I was blessed to have Janet as a friend. I taught preschool with Janet and saw first hand the love she had for the children. She loved running the food pantry and talking with the people who came every Monday. I hope she knew the difference she made in peoples lives.

Janet was a well loved preschool teacher at Resurrection Lutheran Church. When my granddaughter went to kindergarten she and many other kids in Janet's class were put in advanced placement. For the past several years Janet has been expertly running the food pantry at RLC and she was truly a sweetheart! Not only members of the congregation, but so many people who have come through the food pantry will sorely miss her. We are heartbroken but know she is in heaven with no more pain.
