ANNANDALE, Va. — Jane (Orlowski) Zalewski, 91, previously of Peabody, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2008 surrounded by loving family. She was the widow of Edmund "Lucky" Zalewski.
She lived most of her life in Peabody, moving to Virginia in 1987 to live with her daughter. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church and Holy Rosary Society. In Virginia, she was a member of St. Ambrose Parish and Primrose Club. She was a seamstress most of her life and enjoyed her family, home, gardening and needlework.
She is survived by her children, Joan Omand of Annandale, Thomas Zalewski and wife Vicky of Fairbanks, Alaska and Elaine Wozny and husband Paul of Groveland. She is survived by her grandchildren, Greg and Eric Omand, Kathleen Wozny Alvarez and husband Cesar, Christine Wozny, Nathan Zalewski and Caroline Zalewski Melle and husband Carl, also by brother Thomas Orlowski and wife Mary of Beverly, and sister Frances Helen Ercha of Peabody.
ARRANGEMENTS: A service is scheduled in Virginia on Feb. 18. Her ashes will join her husbands at Arlington National Cemetery in June. Donations may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
