James White Obituary

White, James Hugh Nov. 19, 1934 -- Sept. 2, 2003 Jim went to be with Our Lord September 2, 2003. He passed on quietly at home after a long brave battle with cancer. Born in Chicago in 1935, to Jim and Marion (Short) White, he married Jean Siekaniec in 1955. Jim was an Air Force Vet., and worked 25 years on Chicago Fire Dept. with some of his most memorable on Flying Squad 4. After his retirement in 1986, they made Deltona, FL their home, where Jim built doll houses and listened to his Jazz collection. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Jean of Deltona, FL; two sons, James Jr. of Long Island, NY and Edward (Gloria) of Sandwich, IL; a daughter, Toni (Dave) Prusa of Waterman, IL; 12 grandchildren, Sara and Angie White of Long Island, Rich, Adam, Matt, Dan, Joe and Sara McGillen of Sandwich, Kelli, Becki, Jacki and Ami Prusa of Waterman; and three great-grandchildren.

DEAR JEAN. I WAS DEEPLY SADDENED TO HEAR THAT JIM HAD PASSED AWAY.JIM AND I GO BACK A LOT OF YEARS,AND SOME OF MY MOST MEMORABLE TIMES WERE SPENT TOGETHER ON SQUAD 4.JIM AND THE GUYS FROM THE SQUAD WAS WHAT IT WAS ALL ABOUT.AND THOSE MEMORIES WILL LIVE FOREVER. HOPE EVERYTHING IS OK FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. HOPE TO TALK TO YOU SOON ALL OUR LOVE AND PRAYERS JACK AND PAT SURANE
