James Sheehy Obituary

Sheehy, James D. 67 of Georgetown formerly of Scottsdale, Arizona and Chicago, Illinois passed away on June 20, 2011 in Round Rock, Texas. James was born on February 8, 1944 in Chicago, Illinois to Thomas and Elizabeth McDonnell Sheehy. On June 22, 1963 he married Carol M. Abenante Sheehy in Chicago. James is survived by his wife, Carol, his daughter Marie (Thomas) Chapman of Glendale, Arizona, a son, Thomas (Josephine) Sheehy of Tinley Park, Illinois and his grandchildren, Veronica, Anthony, Patricia and Carolyn. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Thomas, Robert, Francis, Donald and Jackie. James worked for Western Union from 1960-1985 then he was employed by Phoenix Transit in Phoenix, Arizona for twenty-one years. Visitation will be held from 6-8 P.M. Thursday June 23, 2011 with recitation of the rosary at 7 P.M. at Ramsey Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Friday June 24, 2011 at St. Helen Catholic Church, Georgetown, Texas with Fr. Will Straten officiating. Arrangements under the care and guidance of Ramsey Funeral Home, 5600 Williams Dr., Georgetown, Texas 78633. 512.869.7775. The family wants to recognize Altenheim Lighthouse Hospice, Round Rock for their gentle and kind care during this time. In lieu of flowers the family would be appreciative of memorials made to St. Jude's Ranch for Children, Boulder City, Nevada or the St. Helen Catholic Church Building Fund.
