Roebuck, Dr. James A. 79 years, beloved husband of Irene M. (nee Foreman), loving father of John (Debbie) and George (Debbie) Roebuck and Laurie (Chuck) Engelhart, proud grandfather of Jill, Eric, Ashley, Brant and Michelle, dear brother of Albert, Mildred (Donald) Dove and the late Harry (Joyce) and Frank (Kathleen), fond uncle and great-uncle of many nieces and nephews. Funeral services Wednesday, 11 a.m., at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W. 103rd St., Oak Lawn. Interment Mt. Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday, 3 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Royal Family Kid's Camp, c/o Stone Church Assemblies of God, 6330 W. 127th St., Palos Heights, IL 60463. Practiced Optometry for 50 years in Argo-Summit. Member of American Optometric Association & Illinois Optometric Association. Member & former President of Argo-Summit Lions Club. To the Roebuck Family:
I remeember Dr. Roebuck from Stone Church. In the early 1980's following a divorce my two daughters and I to attended Stone church. I remember his "Wooden Nickles" He would always have one in his pocket and give to my daughter's. He was a great friend during those years and a wonderful christian. I'm sure he is very happy in heaven.

To the family of Dr. Roebuck,
I wish to express my heartfelt sympathy.
The Dr. was a very nice man, I turned 50 in January of this year and I got my first pair of glasses from his store as did my sister Kathy at a young age. He always made you feel welcome every visit. If you needed an adjustment or whatever, he would always take a minute to correct whatever was wrong. He always had a smile and pleasant disposition. He was a nice man and I feel for your loss.
