Dear Mrs. Rochford, Joan, and "Lizzie": It's been many years since we were kids at St. Patrick's Academy and my Aunt Mickey lived down the street from you on Melvina. I have never forgotten any of you over the years, because you were all very special to me and my brothers. Mr. Rochford was one of the most wonderful men I knew, and was an honorable and highly respected police officer. My husband worked in the Chicago Police department then and has also confirmed my belief as to what a respected leader he was.
God Bless,
Karen (Glasener) Waldkirch

Dear Lois and Jim's loving family, My prayers are with you during this very sad time. It is hard to lose a loving husband and father like Jim. I remember how sad it was for you to lose Jeanne. When my mother, Marie died, Dick's young son saluted at her funeral. My father, Tony Osterkorn was Jim's father's partner way back. My husband, Tom, served proudly as a police officer with Jim and Dick. I used to brag about how Jimmy once baby sat for me. Happy memories and happy times. May they remain in all of our hearts forever.
