James E. Platt, Sr, retired L.T. C.F.D., age 81. Loving husband of the late Carol nee Halloran; dear father of Kerry (Sean Flynn C.F.D.), and James E. (Pam) Platt; cherished grandfather of Gavin C.F.D., Patrick, Liam Flynn, and Juliet Platt; dear brother of Judy (late Daniel) Carpenter, the late Joanne (late John) Beckwith, Theresa (late John) Coglinese, the late Rita "Toots,"(Ceil McLain), late Chuck Beckwith, Richard "Bits" (late Mary Ann "Tuch" Bertucci),(Dorothy Flint), late Thomas "Tucker", Retired C.F.D. (Rose Bergdolld).
A friend to many, Jim passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family.
Visitation Sunday, October 20, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Funeral Monday 10:00 a.m. from Kosary Funeral Home, 9837 S Kedzie Avenue, Evergreen Park to St. Gianna Church.
Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 a.m. Interment St. Mary Cemetery.
