James Meehan Obituary

Meehan, James J. age 78, Monday, July 26, 2004. Late of Plainfield, formerly of Chicago. Veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard. A Physical Education Teacher and Basketball Coach for Harrison High School until 1950 then working for the Chicago Board of Education. A Graduate of DePaul University later graduating from Loyola University with a Master's Degree. Loving husband of Lorraine Inman Meehan (nee Bubacz), loving stepfather of David (Emily) Inman, fond brother of Therese (Robert) Evans, devoted grandfather of Richard and Peter Inman, uncle of eleven nieces and nephews, preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Mary Meehan, also a brother Raymond Meehan, two sisters Rita Meehan and Sarah Alviti. A Memorial mass will be held Saturday July 31, 2004 at St. Daniel the Prophet Catholic Church, 54th and Nashville in Chicago. A private interment of cremains will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Justice. Services conducted by Anderson Memorial Chapel in Romeoville. 815-886-2323.
