Debbie, Carrie, Annie, Katie, Jimmy, and Sean,
I am so sorry for your loss. Uncle Jim was a man whom I respected. He was always available with a kind word and a smile. I personally looked up to him and Debbie and how they parented. They made a tough job look easy and fun. Through it all, the love they shared was an inspiration to me. I knew he was hurting for a long time, but the times I saw him, you would never know it. He still smiled and asked about me. I will miss him.

Dear Deb,
I am sorry to hear about Jim. I will always remember him as a part of our life when the boys were boys. He was a great baseball and football coach, giving of his free time(even though he had 2 jobs) to his sons and the Christ the King Parish. My son Kevin sends his regards from California. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Jimmy, Sean and Kate, the family I know and to his daughters that I never met. Now he needs to make sure the SOX win. God bless you all. Mary Ellen Duffy

Deb, Carrie, Katie, Anni, Jimmy, Sean & Riley,

I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts & prayers are with you.

Uncle Jim,

Your magnificent smile will be etched in my heart forever. You were always smiling; I cannot remember a time when you weren’t. Except for maybe when the kids were in trouble ~ which of course I was never involved in. Even then you would still laugh at us. I am thankful to you and Debi for including me in your family. I cherish the memories of sleepovers on Leavitt. I have great memories of you making us crepes the morning after the firehouse. It always made me feel right at home. When we were teenagers we would sit on the deck, you told great stories about my parents when they were younger. You always spoke highly of my dad, which made me so proud.

You and Deb are role models to me. The way you raised your family, it was never step or half or real siblings. Because of this example, I am a better stepmom to AJ. You have taught me to love him, as he is my own. Which is easy to do since he is so lovable! You have also taught me to accept and include his family just as you had done with me. Not only have I benefited from the example you set but AJ will also. I will be forever grateful to you for this.

You will be in my heart forever!

With Love,

Jeanne

Debbie and family, I knew Jim from his friendly hellos at the pool in Ft. Myers. My father was a great friend of his and spoke of him very highly throughout the years. He talked about what a great man, great fireman and strong fighter he was. My dad also thought very highly of you Debbie and always talked about what a great nurse you are. Now they will be together watching over all of us. Much condolences and prayers go out to you and your family, from one fireman's family to another, stay strong and hold on to the great memories. You are in our prayers, Love the Tetzner family.
