To the McGuires;
Sorry to here of the loss of your dad. I remember him warmly from my first days with the CCSPD in 1963. Your dad was forthright polished guy during an era when there precious few men of his caliber around. You will always have that heritage and memory to carry with you through life.

He was a real gentleman in the true sense of the word and an inspiration to every police officer he had contact with in his career. He did mine.

To "McGee's" entire family (that was our nickname for him in grammar school, and the way he signed his name in our autograph books back then)......
Remember, our departed father and mother are always with us.
Also, remember the centuries-old prayer: May perpetual light shine upon him. There's consolation in the knowledge it will.

My sincere condolences to the family of Supt Jim McGuire. I was the Chief of Police of the Village of Woodridge during the time that he was the Chief of the Cook County Sheriff's police and later when he was the Supt of the Illinois State Police. Jim was a firm believer in education of police officers and we worked together in getting the Law Enforcement Training Act into law.

To The McGuire Family,
I was sorry to hear of the loss of your Dad. I will always remember the good times that our parents had together and what a strong bond the "Roscoe Street" gang had. Both your parents were very good friends of our family. I know that my Mom and Dad were waiting to welcome your Dad.
I am sorry that I will not be able to attend the services. Please know that I will keep your Dad in my prayers.

To all the McGuire family, I will miss your dad very much. He was a great guy. I always remember how he called me "convertible kathy". I always enjoyed it when we would talk on the phone or when I would see him at the many numerous "family" parties. Ozzie, take care of yourself & call me if you need anything. God Bless you all!
