Dear Linda and Joe,
I would like to offer my sincerest condolences on the passing of your father. Although it's been many years, I still have fond memories of Uncle Jim from the times I spent as a child in the house on Nashville, playing with my friend & cousin Renee. One of my favorite stories to tell is how we weren't allowed to have drinks at the dinner table, because he felt we would not finish our meals. We would try to sneak a drink in the "next room" by saying we had to go. Uncle Jim knew what we were up to, but we always assumed we could fool him.
I also remember the many times he would include me in the Sunday dinners to places such as Tokarzs. Your father was a great man in many ways, especially how he helped other people who weren't as fortunate as himself.
Due to a back problem, which limits my mobility at the moment, I will be unable to attend his wake and funeral. However, I would like you to know that my thoughts and prayers are with you.
Love,
Mary
