We remember how welcoming and caring James was whenever we saw him. We cherish the relationship that we had with him and Barbara. For Ed it was a very special day when Otis Thames told him James lived in Florida. Being with James

and talking with him was so comfortable. Ed loved listening to music with him and also to the CD's he burned for Ed. We miss his smile and challenging ideas. We miss eating fried fish and potato salad with him. There is a huge empty space in our lives. Thank goodness we have wonderful memories and Barbara still here.

My Dear Friends,

I am so sorry for the lost of my friend and your father. He was always a man who brightened a room, made us laugh, and also taught us to learn and think. I will always remember the many times since I was a kid that your Dad was always able to put things in perspective and give that constant reassurance that it would all work out. He taught us to explore, and to strive to be great at what we do. I will always cherish those memories and try to pass them on to my children and one day, their children. Please let me know if you need anything. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
