To the Furlong Family,

Sharing in your sorrow, Jim was a wonderful man, very funny, and always had an amazing smiling. We will miss Jim up at Lake Como especially when Jim would come by our home, telling us his funny jokes. The fire department will miss one of their family members too! We are thinking of you and wishing you hope and comfort in the midst of pain, and always remember that "Death leaves a heartache, no one can heal, love leaves a memory, no one can steal." Jim will remain in our hearts forever.

Delores,

Judy and I are very sorry for your loss. Jim was a great guy. I have fond memories of the good times we had together when Jim, my brother Phil, my son Cliff and I went on a fly-in fishing trip in Canada several years ago. We'll always remember his warmth, joy in living, his outgoing attitude and all the good times we had with him at family holiday get-togethers.

Our dance community is a very close one so the loss of a favorite partner, a smiling face, strikes hard. Jim will be very much missed on the dance floor and off, for his smile, warmth, jokes, and the keep on dancing no matter what attitude we shared...God bless you all..my prayers and thoughts are with you.

Dear Dolores & Family,
My deepest sympathy to you and your family. "Fireman Jim" was a great guy and lots of fun on the dance floor. He made a lot of people laugh at the dance conventions. I one thing that comes to mind when thinking of him was at one of the out of town conventions. He was in a lot of pain with his knees. He came to me all weekend asking for Aleve. After a couple of days when he needed more, I handed them to him and I said, "Here! Now Aleve me alone." With that we both laughed so hard, it brought tears to our eyes. He told everyone that story for the rest of the weekend and conventions that followed. All the pain that he was in did not keep him from dancing.
"Fireman Jim" you will be missed by everyone that knew you.

Love,
jan
