James Flaherty Obituary

Flaherty, James Age 78, beloved husband of Doris, died Tuesday in Detroit, MI. after a prolonged illness. Mr. Flaherty, formerly of Chicago and a graduate of St. Mary of the Lake Seminary, Mundelein, where he was ordained a priest in 1958, taught English and held administrative positions with the Wayne County Community College system until the last year, when he became ill. Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a stepson, Bryan Thompson, stepdaughters Hali (Michael) Lamb and Portia (Chris) Frenthway, and a daughter, Jamie-Clare. He is also survived by brothers Richard (Michelle) and Roger (Dolores) and sisters Kathleen (Joseph) Ceman and Suzanne (Robert Rosinia). Services are arranged by A. J. Desmond and Son, Royal Oak, MI. Mass will be offered Tuesday at Gesu Church in Detroit. Burial will be private.

Dear Rog, Richard, Kathy and Sue and Jim's family, I am so sorry to see that Jim has passed away following a long illness. It has been a while since I have seen him, but I have some very fond memories of our parties with the Flaherty relatives. You are all in my prayers,
