Tribute: My dad! What can I say.He was strength in my eyes.He loved his family more then anything else.Fran,Tina ,lisa and jimmy were everythng to him.He was proud of his children and encouraged us to do great things,be individuals and always take care of each other. When Ron was born in 1983 he was beaming with pride. He looked just like his papa and would do anything for him.Ashley was next his little princess. He was her papa,Godfather and protector.Rich was next ,the special relationship began the minute he laid eyes on him. That blond hair and big blue eyes he would eat him up. Dakota was next, dad named him ,he said Dakota James sounded like a cowboy from the old west.Westerns were his favorite. When I married Bill 9 years ago ,it was the best day of my life.He and my dad did everything together. He was dad.He kept Bill busy ,fixing his truck ,fixing things around the house ,just watching the Bears or Sox game. He told us how happy he was to have a new son and how happy he was to have such a loving man in our family. Then Austin ,his baby was born .He looked for him every chance he could get .T wheres my baby whats he doing ,let me talk to him. Then He was blessed with our little Giovanni 2 years ago Rons little man .He always taught us all to take care of one another. My children love each other very much and are best friends because of him. I will be graduating college in May with a 4.0 GPA .I will be teaching school and thinking about him every step of the way. Im proud of my dad,he told you how it was and stuck to his guns to protect for his family. We are all blessed to have him in our lives .He has touched many and he will be in my heart forever ! Rest peacefully Dad ,you deserve it for a job well done !

When Jimmy was born, he broke the mold. And broke another mold every day of his life. Can't you just see the trail of broken molds he left? What a wonderful legacy he has given all of us. Fran, Lisa, Tina, Cotey, Austin, Ron, Ashley and all - know that we are here for you... from Fran Sternik, Kathy Heaney and all your loving Washtenaw neighbors.

"Jimmy D" was always the most cheerful guy in the 20th District. He was there to help everyone, from the lowliest recruit to the District Commander. He talked about his family often and it was obvious that he loved them very much. My deepest sympathy to Jimmy's family.
