Jan--
Very sorry to learn of Jim's passing. It was a pleasure meeting you both and getting to know you inspite of the circumstances. Jim was a cool, easy going guy and I appreciated his "take on anything" attitude towards life. It's unfortunate that his disease took his life early. I hope that you and your family are doing well.
Take care,
Kristen from Barnes-Jewish Hospital (nurse with Dr. Vij)

Jim, I will love you always, and I know you will watch over us. This void will eternally be held with the love and memories we are so blessed to have. You have a soul that forever will be unmatched, and how fortunate we all are to have experienced your presence. Thank you for making me better, and my motivation holds your name. Grateful for you always.

Jimmy you were my friend, my mentor and one of the best men I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I cherish the time I was able to spend with you and pray for your beautiful family through this hard transition in life. You were one of the few true Warriors that walked this earth and I pray that you bless and look over all of us still chasing bad guys and walking the beat. You have touched so many lives through the years and have bestowed so much knowledge through your actions and teachings. You my friend are dearly missed. Lord only knows, there will only ever be one "Jimmy Creighton". Goodby my friend and Rest in Peace, we will take it from here.

Jim, I'll never forget the first time I met you at my Police Academy class (1993) where you taught our self defense tactics class. I was like OMG he's huge! He's gonna kill us! .....and he did enjoy causing us a little pain..... lol for our own good. He taught us a lot, was a great mentor and leader! He's done a lot of good for the world we live in! Had the privilege as a K-9 Officer working the streets with him on calls as well.
Gone but not forgotten!

To the Creighton Family, we are deeply saddened to read of the passing of Jimmy. I worked with Jimmy at Homewood PD. He was an inspriation to many and gave 110% effort to his duties. We all admired his progression into other fields of law enforcement. We wish you comfort during this time of sorrow.
