James Caputo Obituary

Caputo, James V. June 20, 1909 - August 14, 2003 As a photoengraver and photographer, Jim Caputo's career in the graphic arts industry spanned more than 50 years. For over thirty years he was a "Master Color Engraver" in rotogravure at The Jahn & Ollier Engraver Company and was a founding member of the International Photoengraver Union. He then became the Chief Photographer for the Metropolitan Sanitary District of Greater Chicago and served in that capacity for over 20 years. Beloved husband of the late Constance, devoted father of James P. "Bud" and Bernard (Jean) Caputo, dear brother of Della (Tom) Bell, the late Margaret, Carmen, Anthony and Rose, fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Funeral Monday, 9:30 a.m., from Salerno's Galewood Chapels, 1857 N. Harlem Ave., to St. Vincent Ferrer Church. Mass 10:30 a.m. Entombment Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Visitation Sunday, 3 to 9 p.m. For info: 773-889-1700. In lieu of flowers, donations to Anchorage of Bensenville, 111 E. Washington, Besenville, IL, 60106, would be appreciated.

Sincere condolences to the family of Mr. Caputo, especially to his sister Della. My parents were Jim and Mary Biangman who were lifelong friends of your family. My sisters and I remain close to Della and her family and we wish to extend our love and prayers to all at this sad time.
