I, too will miss Jimmy. Although we were only married for five years while at Purdue and for a short time in Chicago, I can attest that he was a kind soul and always wanted to make people happy. I was shocked when I googled him and found out that hedied a tragic death. My condolences to his family and company. Amy

Dear Margaret, Katherine and Pierce,

Everytime I think of Jim, his warm and wonderful smile flashes in front
of my mind. He had that special charisma that embraced those who came in contact with him...and if he
liked and respected you, you felt blessed.

Knowing him as a partner at BBJ from whom our firm rented linens, as a client who we assisted with special projects, and as an individual who I shared many
networking and social events with, over the years...I am stunned to realize I will not be finding his fine face, smile and gracious warm
responses amongst those special people I enjoy. He was a grand soul and gave so much to so many.

There are not enough words in our vocabulary to soften the deep heart ache and sorrow you are all experiencing right now. The only thing we can all hope is that in time, the great pain of loss you each feel, will slowly be replaced with the warmth of the thousands of
wonderful images and experiences you shared, the love and laughter and Jim's great spirit, (which has enriched all whose lives he touched.)

My fondest thoughts and prayers are with you each, every single day. If there is anything I can do to help, remember I'm only a phone call away.

From someone who cares so very much

Jim, It's very hard to put into words how you've impacted my life. You've given myself & others a chance/position in a company that we've might not have gotten working for anyone else. For that, I'll never forget & will always do my very best to live up to the standards that you've (Bill, Bonnie & Judy also) set. On a personal note, It was very hard to see you go! & the first reaction was anger, sadness & disbelief but, now I understand that your just resting now & your at peace. But, I'll just think of you as being on an extended vacation checking in on us from time to time.....We love you & give the MAN UPSTAIRS a hug & the hand shake that Jose & I tried to teach you. We love you Jim & Family.

Having only been with the company for less than 6 months, I am saddened that I was not able to get to know him further. He was so warm and welcoming at the sales conference and constantly asking what BBJ could do for our clients. I've never met someone who cared so much about employee input then he and the other owners do. He gave me great opportunity with the company. Please accept my most sincere condolences. He will be greatly missed.

Though we have not seen much of each other over the years, I will never forget Jimmy as a little boy and his wise remark, while picking blueberries on the farm in Lakewood.
After spilling his slim pickings and being admonished by "DH" (age 80) Jimmy (age6) shoock his head and sighed: "I have never seen such a foolish old man in ALL my life!
Jimmy, your memory will live on forever.

Dear Friends, Fans, and Family of Jimmy,
Jimmy and I, and our sisters and brother, spent many wonderful summers growing up together on our grandparents' egg farm in the New Jersey Pine Barrens. Here our two grandfathers-- actually Jewish refugee brothers from Nazi Germany--ran what today would be considered an organic operation with happy, free-running chickens. As were those chickens, so was Jimmy, whose good cheer, love of life, and kindness (something that certainly can not be ascribed to a chicken), endured. There is no greater testimony to this than the beautiful messages left here by his many admirers whom he continued to attract well after those glorious summers so many decades ago. Our hearts and sympathy reach out to Jimmy's immediate family. May your memories be as sweet and comforting as Jimmy's inspiration is for us.

Dear Margaret, Katharine, and Pierce

I have been honored to know such a wonderful man. And fortunate to have known him for almost 11 years. Throughout that he has been my boss, my mentor, and friend. He has always given me so much support and guidance. And has shown confidence in me and my abilities and that's a big part of where I am today not only with BBJ but also in life. I will take that with me always.

I know that what he has given & has shown me is only a small part of what he has given to you all. There wasn't a day that he did not express or show how much joy & happiness you have all given him. I know that he was very proud of you all. Margaret, I saw it whenever I stepped into his office with your talent reflected on the walls. And whenever asked about his kids, he always had such a big smile on his face explaining where you both were in life.

He will be greatly missed, and I will never forget him & all that he has done. My thoughts & prayers are with you all.

Margaret, Katherine and Pierce:

Words cannot begin to express my condolences. Jim was a wonderful friend with a strong commitment to excellence, both personally and professionally. I know first hand how truly devoted he was to all of you, and it was inspiring! Just last week I was on the phone with him catching up. I heard the lilt in his voice as he talked about your upcoming wedding, Katherine. He was so proud of the lady you have become and the choices you have made in your short life. Pierce, it was always fun hearing about your college life and how you manage to keep your culinary talent rolling at the same time.

Margaret – I truly can say I’ve never seen a man prouder of his wife – of not only what she has accomplished and the gifts she has, but the truly unique person she is. I recall so many conversations in which he talked about your artistic abilities, your innate sense of business, your humor, your ability to keep him "on track", your character and your natural gift as a mother. He was so proud of you! As a family, you are blessed.

All of us who knew Jim thank you for sharing so much of his time with us. He cannot be replaced and truly will be missed more than you will ever know.
