Buckley, James R. age 57, suddenly, Battilion Chief CFD, Vietnam Veteran, loving father and hero of Denis, Robert and Matthew, adoring grandfather of Liam Padraic, beloved son of the late James R. and Marian F. Buckley, dear brother of the late Maureen (Daniel) Arnold, fond uncle of numerous nieces and nephews, great-friend of many including, Bill W. Funeral 9 a.m., Monday, August 30, from Olson Burke/Sullivan Funeral Home, 6467 N. Northwest Hwy., (1 blk. N. of Devon), Chicago, to St. Thecla Church. Mass 10 a.m. Interment All Saints Cemetery. Member of Chicago Firefighters Union Local #2. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Salvation Army, 5040 N. Pulaski Rd., Chicago, IL, 60630. Visitation Sunday, 3 to 9 p.m. Info: 773-774-3333

my condolences to the buckley family and to the second family at 412 n kedzie. between uncle buck and the ofi guys, and trk 36, you guys taught me alot about firefighting and investigating.i just found out last week that this had happened as i dont get around the firehouse much anymore.to a great fireman who will be missed by all....
