I still miss my partner and most likely always will. He was always 'there' for me to learn more about the music we loved, and more. His knowledge of Classical and opera was amazing, too, and I often said he could give pre-lectures when certain operas were coming to Chicago. But, his disease got in the way of so many things. Now he is with so many of his friends and family members, hopefully living a life of good health and lots of happiness. I miss you, my love.

Thank you to everyone who posted here.
As Jim's life partner, I can say he would appreciate all the nice things said, here and on the Web. I know I do, and I will miss him till the day I die.

I first met Jim in his role as a human rights activist. He was always compassionate, kind, and caring--- truely one of the finest human beings in the world. He will be dearly missed.

I am so sorry to hear of Jim's death. He was a good man, and a fine musician. I had the opportunity to have many fine chats with him over the years. I hope he has found peace and the lasting happiness he so richly deserved.

We have lost a good friend and human rights activist with the passing of Jim Beebe. I met Jim on a newsgroup that he frequented to expose a particular insidious cult. Jim was always very kind and generous with his time and knowledge that he shared from his experience with the cult.
Respectfully,
Tom Hope

We enjoyed the many years in Oak Brook and Dick's Last Resort. Thank you for giving us such wonderful weekly jazz. God bless us all.
