James Babakitis Obituary
James Babakitis was born in New York City in 1927. He served in the US Navy during WWII at Samson Naval Base. He attended City College of New York graduating with a BS in Electrical Engineering. He met the love of his life Maria Retsinas in 1953 and were married for 54 years. He is survived by his children Christina and Peter and grandson Alex. Jim loved life and his family. May his memory be eternal. Visitation Friday November 5th from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church, 12307 Ridgeland Ave Palos Heights Illinois, 60458. Funeral Service 11:00 a.m. and immediately following visitation. James will be laid to rest along side his beloved wife Maria at Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Larabida Hospital or Honor Flight Chicago, All arrangements entrusted to Orrico Kourelis Funeral Services Inc.
