To Steve and George Argires and their relatives:
On behalf of my wife and son and my Father, William Doumouras, my mother, Helen Doumouras, my uncle Ernie Nafpliotis and my Aunt, Dimitria Nafpliotis who like myself and my family had the opportunity to work side by side with Jim and Tom Argires at the old South Water Market it was great pleasure to have been, "next door neighbors" while my father operated Olympic Wholesale Produce, Inc. at 31 South Water Market. I will always remember what great sense of humor Jim Argires had, especially he and my father "Bill" would yuck it up. God Bless you and your family
Regards,
James W. Doumouras

We are so sorry to hear about Jim's passing.
The name rings so clear from old South Water Market after hearing my father & uncle mentioning Antone/Argires through the many years of my life.
My father was Gus Trampas, also from the Market. It is so sad to hear of one more life ending from what helped build Chicago from Greek heritage.
Certianly something to be proud of and I never will forget those days.
Our deepest and most hearfelt sympany for your loss.
