Jack Arends, age 81, peacefully passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2024. Beloved husband of the late Sheila B Arends. Adored father of Jack (Debbie) Arends, Jr; the late Jason M. Arends, and the late Michele M. Arends. Loving grandfather of Ryan and Eric Arends; Dearest uncle to James Patrick (Marissa) Heraty, Margaret Molly Heraty, Susan (Tony) Serafin, John (Kim) Kerkemeyer, Teri (Ed) Richcreek, Kara Kerkemeyer, and Dan (Teresa) Burke. Fond brother of the late Harold Arends, the late Anita Snyder and sister in law Kathleen (Tom) Heraty; Cherished son of the late Casper and Ada Arends. Dearest cousin and friend of many.

Visitation will take place from 4-8 PM Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at Malec and Sons Funeral Home, 6000 N Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL 60646. A chapel service will take place at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at Malec and Sons Funeral Home. A graveside service will immediately follow at All Saints Cemetery, 700 N River Rd, Des Plaines, IL 60016.
