J. Tyler Obituary

I would like to extend our sympathy, love and prayers to you the family of J.W. "Purr" Tyler, especially his daughters, Marilyn, Lynda, Sandy and C.J. along with their families. The little grandchildren were going to miss their grandpa and now I learn of Pat's, their Mother and Grandmothers, passing within such a few days. My heart has ached for all of us since hearing this sad news. I also signed Pat's Guest Book, there you will learn more of how I fit into your lives. My heart is very heavy. I have repeated my feelings in this registry, which expresses just where my heart is at this time. I also speak on behalf of our Carson Bruton Searle family organization. I did not know "Purr" only to speak to him on the telephone several times through the years when contacting Pat. His voice spoke of the kind of good man he was. As time passes you will become more aware of what he meant to each and everyone of you, his posterity, how very thankful you will be to have him for your father, father-in-law, grandfather and friend.

Sorry to hear about your loss and all of you are in my prayers.

As I leafed through today's paper, I came across a picture of one of the finest ladies that I have had the pleasure of knowing! Upon reading her accomplishments I felt a further sense of grief when I read the line that she had been preceded in death by "Pa"- one the greatest men that I've ever known. Ma & Pa Tyler ALWAYS had a smile & an encouraging word for me. I love them, & will miss them. Heaven is blessed with their presence now, just as we were for what time we had them here! The angels shall be happier as they see Pa's smile & hear Ma's piano music! Until we meet again, Leslee

You got quite a surprise today! I know you welcomed her with open arms and a smile on your face. While we rejoice that you are together, it's kinda hard for the "four original Tylers" and their husbands and children to let you both go so quickly. Ma Tyler, we were so sorry to hear about Pa Tyler. In the years that I have know both of you, your family has done so much for Rainbows. He will definitely be missed. We love you.

Pat and Kids - My prayers are with you. I would have been there but I didn't know until it was to late to attend. My son-in-law just met Purr and was telling me what a wonderful man he was. He was a great influence on a lot of people. Love Betty Jo (Mom Carrot)

In all our years of bouncing into, and out of, No. Little Rock, AR, since John grew up there in the 60's/70's, we have always landed in homes of loving people, smiling faces, and caring hearts, The Purr and Pat Tyler family being one of the greatest. Our hearts and prayers are with you all. We know that Purr is smiling down upon us now, with golf club in hand and a story in his heart.

Even though I personally hadn't the oppertunity to know him like his lodge brothers, he was here to interview me to be accepted into the lodge. we had a great visit and learned then that he was a great person. I will always have very fond memories of J.W. Tyler and feel fortunate to have had an opportunity to know him. He was truly a very genuine and caring man. Our thoughts and prayers will be with you today.

Pat, I was so shocked to read about Purr in the paper. We looked for him to visit on the Thursday of your meeting but knew he must have been busy. We are thinking about you and the family. Wish we could be there for you at this time. Will talk with you later.

Ms Pat I have known this dear Man for many years through the Masonic Lodge, he was not only a Lodge brother he was one that I could always depent on and one that I could go to for advice. He was a mans man and dedicated individual in every thing he did and he will be missed, this dear man has found what we all are looking for that house not made with hands eternal in the Heaven. Ma- I am so sorry for our great loss. Pa was such a wonderful man and I will never forget as a young impressionable Rainbow he always made me smile. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family always.

Pa Tyler was a great man, and i was so fortunate for you and my family to be such great friends. I am going to miss coming into the lodge and hugging Pa Tyler so very much. He was without a doubt a very good Mason. He was definetaly a "Leader" and not a Follower. He was a great inspiration to all his incounters. Especially me! I love the Tyler family very much. When i first was initiated into Rainbows, i felt very loved because Ma Tyler was always there to help with my part or help me do anything! Thanks for everything Ma Tyler. I love you very much.

Pat I sure will miss JW helping me back out of the parking lot at church every time . Will miss him Love you Peggy

What a great honor it is to officiate at the memorial service of J.W. Tyler, a good, kind, gentleman. He has been my friend, and I shall miss him.
