Dad. I cry for you every night. And it is 8 months that you've been gone. Is mom with you? I feel I will be joining you very soon. Things aren't doing well for me here. Mom. You probably don't know. Dad will tell you. Say hi to everybody for me. How is DeeDee doing? That was a real shocker. Oh, Tom Truetler, the drummer just died. He was like 50. Real sudden. He was to go to a barbecue at his parents last Friday and never made it. They found him a day or two later. Love, Bruce

Irving and I were long time friends from my days in Oak Park. We only lived a few blocks apart and as lawyers had
many common interests. We both were active in the Democratic party and both served as Illinois Assistant Attorney Generals. He would call me from time to time. We both had two sons and one daughter, and spoke about our children.
