Irene Nilson Obituary
Born on July 25, 1910 in Chicago, Illinois, she was the daughter of Sam and Rose Vetterick and was the wife of Harold Nilson.
Nonnie is survived by her only son, Ron Nilson (Lorraine), her grandchildren, Leslie Kiehl (Mark), John Bright (Karin), and Joann Tartalone; and her great-grandchildren, Matt Kiehl, Jenn Kiehl, Steph Kiehl, and Drew Tartalone.
All are welcome to join our family for a party in honor of Nonnie on Friday, September 29 from 5-8 p.m. at Salisbury Country Club. Nonnie loved getting together with fun people for a good party and a stiff drink, and we hope to honor her wishes on all accounts!
A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 30, at 11 a.m. at the Church of the Epiphany. All are most welcome. The church will be open by 10 a.m. for prayer and reflection. A reception will follow in the parish commons.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Commonwealth Catholic Charities or Lab Rescue of Greater Richmond, in gratitude for all the joy the foster babies and dogs gave Nonnie over the years.

Dear Leslie and family~
Sending you love and hugs during this time. I am so Blessed to have had the honor to meet 'Nonnie' and experience a short part of her long life. She was such a delight and lite up the room where ever she was. You showered her with such pure unconditional love it was a joy to witness. Her life was enriched by the wonderful closeness and love of your family. May God continue to Bless us all. ~chris
