My mother was a great friend to many. She made everybody feel welcome and loved. She always looked out for us and wanted the best for us as small children and even as we became adults and went our separate ways. I know she is with the Lord now and looking down upon us. I will miss her.

Irena was a very important part of our lives and will be remembered always. Her grandchildren Stephan and Katie, have shared virtually every Holiday of their lives with her and will miss her presence tremendously during this coming Holiday season. She helped the family maintain a very strong sense of tradition and in her memory I will honor her wishes and strive to do the same. She will be missed.

Rita,
We were talking about your mom the prior Saturday. You were saying that she was better and had company at home and there were no more hospital visits. How sad we were to hear about the sudden turn of events.
You and your family are in our prayers. We wish you and your family, especially your dad, comfort at this time.
With loving thoughts,
Josie and Albert

Mrs. Metelica's presence will be missed but I believe she will always be with us, her friends and her family. I am glad to have shared in so many good times with her over the years. That is how I will remember her.

I feel blessed to have been Irena's son-in-law for the past fifteen years. She was kind, gracious, and supportive. She had a wonderful sense of humor, and was fun to be with. I always enjoyed our visits with her. Rita, Richie, and I will miss her greatly.

I am Irena's youngest daughter, and the love she gave us is her eternal gift to us. I know that the impact she made in the world will be with me forever. Please help us keep her in our hearts forever. She will never be "gone" for I will miss her always.

Dear Mr. Metelica and Family:
I was fortunate enough to be introduced to your wife/mother by my friend/your daughter Annette. She was always very kind and nice to me. Even though I only knew her for a short time she definitely made an impression on me. She showed me what a true lady with grace was. I am truly sorry for your loss.
Love

Irena is my mother. It certainly has not hit home yet that I will never ever be with her again in this life. I know she is in a good place and the thoughts of her will always be with me. Never the less there will be a sad day ahead when I will want to give her a hug and can't.

Dear Ed Metelica and family,
I was very saddened to learn of Irena's passing. I hope you will quickly learn to think of all the good things; those things of good report. She was kind toward me, hospitable and pleasant. I, too, will miss her.
I am sure she has been well received by her heavenly Father.
Bless you all.

My thoughts are with the family at this time. I got to meet Irena when I came over to stay with them in the States in 2000 and I am very pleased that I had that opportunity to meet my wonderful Great Aunt. May she rest in peace. With loving thoughts from her great neice xx

Irena, I am so pleased that Jamie and I managed to visit last summer, it was wonderful being part of and getting to know 'Family Metelica'. We will forever have fond memories of our time spent with you.
Rest in the peace that you deserve after all you have been through in life. God Bless dear Aunt.
