Fond memories are present as i think of our friend Ira and our laughter together over the years. Ira always took time to talk about our families, our interests, our worries, our conquests and our failures. He was a source of inspiration to me personally. All of us old timers at Great Northern- Tom, Marguerite and my self George, will keep a special spot in our hearts for Ira. May he Rest in Peace!

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Ira was a warm, kind, honest, fair, gentle, loving soul. Such a tremendous anchor for the family and a leader in the family business. He was well loved as anyone who visited the business could see by his office space, filled or vacant, all could feel his presence. He will be missed. May fond memories of his life bring you comfort. God bless.
Love and prayers,

Dearest Jason,
The few times I met your Grandfather, the bond between the two of you was clear and special. I know the two of you had a deep love for each other. Although he has passed on, you will never be without him, as he has left you with his legacy of wisdom and life's lessons. Take care of yourself as I realize this will be a difficult time for you.

We offer our deepest sympathy for your loss. Ira was truly the patriarch of your clan. Our 25 years in the food business together was surely guided by his leadership.

My thoughts and emotions are with the Gitlin family at this most difficult time. Ira, for so many years, was like a second father to me. It is with hope and certainty that all of the wonderful memories will serve to get of us through these most challenging days. All my love, Scott
