LaBarbera, Ignazio "Nick" loving husband of Barbara LaBarbera (nee Apida), cherished father of Marina LaBarbera, dear brother of Domenico LaBarbera and 14 other brothers and sisters, dear son-in-law of Rodney and Sharon Apida, brother-in-law of Joanne (Kas) Gardiner, Steven Apida, Scott (Ellen) Pasterz, Marc (Linda) Pasterz, Michael (Kellie) Pasterz, and James (Michelle) Apida, uncle of many. Retired after 35 years of service from the U.S. Army and the National Guard. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Cradle Foundation: Russian Humanitarian Aid Foundation, c/o Marina LaBarbera, 2049 Ridge Ave., Evanston, IL appreciated. Visitation Monday, 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral Tuesday, 10 a.m., from Sax-Tiedemann Funeral Home & Crematorium, 9568 Belmont Ave., Franklin Park, to St. Cyprian Church for Mass 10:30 a.m. Interment St. Carmel Cemetery. So sorry to hear of Nick's sudden death and especially sorry that I am leaving today, Sunday, for a week in the DC area.
