Ian Graham Obituary

Graham, Ian Wallace 57, of Elmhurst, passed away on March 3 after a hard–fought 11 month battle with cancer. Loving husband of Kathleen (nee Clark). Born October 20, 1952 in Kilmarnock, Scotland to the late Hugh & Betty Graham. In addition to his parents, Ian was preceded in death by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Kathleen & George Clark and his best buddy, Bunter. Brother of Margaret (Billy) McLean and Raymond (Marie). Nephew of Alice and Jean Maxwell. Survived by niece and nephews Lynne, Steven and Ross McLean, many cousins and many, many more friends and colleagues. Ian emigrated to the United States in 1980 to marry Kathy, and they always said that they were the best thing that ever happen to each other. They enjoyed 29 very happy but too short years together. Ian was kind, great fun, hard working, generous to a fault and always a gentleman. He will be sorely missed by all. Visitation at Ahlgrim Funeral Home, 567 S. Spring Rd., Elmhurst from 3:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Friday. Services Saturday, March 5 at 12:00 P.M. Interment Private. In lieu of flowers memorials will be appreciated for the Anti Cruelty Society, 157 W. Grand, Chicago, IL 60610 or An Animal Welfare Group of your choice. Info 630-834-3515 or www.ahlgrim.com

Ian was one of my best friends. More than that he was one of my best buddies. Over the years we had many great times together and shared many laughs, especially at the breakfast club. My heart goes out to Kathy and the rest of Ian's family. I will miss him a lot.
